Day three

This day has been mostly inefficient. I have been lazy and haven't accomplished much. But I have created a script that counts the number of visitors on the site and you can also register now, not log in though. I have to figure out something first, before I will fix so you can log in. But I am happy to see that some of you have written in the guestbook! I also tried to find a better font for the header thanks to Tim's last comment (I had totally forgotten about the header) but I've decided to create a header-image instead. Actually I probably wont keep much of the current layout since the site at the moment has no real purpose. But for now it is a wall, and I've learned much creating it!
Now I have to pack because tomorrow I'm off to Berlin, Germany!

Almost forgot that I was suppose to give you the latest update! Well it is late now and I'm tired so I guess you'll just have to check it out yourselves! And leave a comment in the guestbook! It's up and running now!

Day two

Greetings fellow internet users! I am now officially an html-nerd. I spent moste of the day learning and applying what I've learned. My day is easy to summarize:

• 11.00 Facepalm
• 13.00 Singing and dancing
• 16.00 Double facepalm
• And so on...

At the moment I am a good friend of html. I made quite a lot of progress whit the site today, but the difficult part is still to come. At the moment I am focusing on the layout but soon I will have to start working on the php-part as well. Although I am more interested in php I am a bit nervous whether I'm going to be able to create all the functionality I wish for the site or not. But that is a later problem. The most difficult thing today was to create the two main elements of the body: the content and the right menu. That may not sound very difficult but the positioning... You can probably guess when I did the positioning parts today. But I am actually quite happy whit the result. And again if you want to check it out, here it is. I am at the moment also working on a guestbook for all of you visitors, where you can write a comment about the site and it's layout. It should be ready to use later today but we'll see.
I'll probably post something more about my progress tonight, so see you then.

Well, as you can see, I am not a consistent man. I did start to write but then I had a hard time finding opportunities to write. I did start using c++ but now I actually started writing in Java again because I wanted to write simple games and doing graphics in c++ is anything but easy.
Apart from the Java-programming, I also have a new project which is the reason for my comeback here. I am writing a website for a company, which happens to be run by me and my friend. So I am now going to do this blog my notebook or diary or what one may call it, for the website project that is. The Java-thing-ie well, that will just have to take the time it needs. I will focus mainly on the website. And by the way, if any of you have a good tip of a course or similar (maybe a tutorial) then leave a comment, since I am kind of new at this hole world of web-programming.
